Hotmail email problem...when i try to open attachments, it's asking to save or find a program?

I have a few emails with atachments of pictures and i can't seem to open them, it's asking if i want to save or find software online to view them with. I have never had this problem before but i recently upgraded to MSN 8.1. Could this be where the problem is? How do i sort it out?? Any help please. Thanks

The picture that you're being sent may not be in a format that windows can handle.





Save the file to your hard disk and try to preview it in the the picture and fax viewer.





If is says that it can't be opened you could try and download photoshop album starter edition free from the adobe website.

Reply:Seems like you don;t have the software required to open the picture. Try saving the pic to your hard drive then see if you can open it, if not then e-mail me the filename - with the letters after the dot, for example picture.jpg
